- Holesky Ethereum Testnet (2023)
- Goerli testnet (PoS)
- Sepolia testnet (PoW) (merged)
- Prater testnet (PoS), merged with Goerli on August 2022.
- Kintsugi testnet Dec 2021
Deprecated
- Ropsten testnet (merged, deprecated, shutdown scheduled for Q4 2022) [1]
- Kiln testnet, will be shut down after The Merge [2]
- Rinkeby testnet, deprecation notice will be shut down in Q3 2023 [3]
Polygon[edit]
Misc[edit]
- MAX_EFFECTIVE_BALANCE: 32 ETH on mainnet, usually 3.2 ETH on testnets
--network prater
Never use real ETH to join a testnet! All of the testnets listed here use Goerli ETH which is basically worthless.
