Prometheus Alertmanager

Prometheus Alertmanager handles alerts sent by client applications such as the Prometheus server. It takes care of

• deduplicating
• silencing and inhibition
• grouping
• routing to the correct receiver integration such as email, PagerDuty or OpsGenie.

amtool cli tool for interacting with the Alertmanager API included with all releases of Alertmanager.
