Defense in Depth (DiD) is the design and implementation of multiple overlapping layers of controls.
- Reduces or eliminates vulnerabilities.
- Reduces or eliminates the likelihood that a threat agent will be able to exploit.
- Reduces or eliminates the impact of an exploit.
