A firewall is a network security system that monitors and controls incoming and outgoing network traffic based on predetermined security rules.

Major vendor providing firewall solutions includes AhnLab, Barracuda, Check Point, Cisco, Forcepoint, Fortinet, Hillstone, Huawei , Juniper Networks, New H3C Group, Palo Alto Networks, Sangfor, Shopos, Stormshield and WatchGuard.
